ABOUT THE SJSU PRECISION FLIGHT TEAM
We are a group of students at San Jose State University with a passion for aviation. Our team competes in two aviation competitions per year hosted by the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA). We are the only student-run and funded collegiate flight team in the west and the oldest flight team in the nation. We strive to provide SJSU students an opportunity to be involved in aviation through competition.

2025 NATIONAL COMPETITION
The San Jose State University Precision Flight Team is preparing to attend the National Intercollegiate Flying Association National Competition in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Here team members will be joined by other universities from around the country to compete in a variety of ground and flying events intended to develop their skills as aviators.

During this time, flight team members aren’t simply flying for fun. They’re fully committed to a week-long intensive competition designed to enhance their aviation skills. These experiences are crucial for developing the next generation of aviators. As a fully student-run and funded organization, we depend on the generosity of our community to make this mission possible.
